A nurse navigator is a registered nurse with specialized training in cancer care. For patients with a cancer diagnosis, the nurse navigator works to ensure all barriers to treatment are resolved. The barriers may be questions about medical procedures and treatments options, concerns about medications or difficulty traveling for appointments.
