2h. Other Types of Support

While a healthcare system offers plentiful resources to a patient, there are also countless outside resources. As part of their position, nurse navigators can assist in getting other types of support as needed or requested. For example, the navigator can connect patients with support groups, ostomy care, head products such as hats/scarves/wigs, or mastectomy and prosthesis information.
