1. The Role of the Oncology Social Worker
The Oncology Social Worker at Essentia Health Cancer Center is a professionally educated member of our Oncology team. The Social Worker helps patients and families with the social, financial, psychological, and family-related concerns associated with cancer diagnosis and treatment. You will be able to meet privately with the Social Worker to discuss your needs. With patient approval, the Social Worker may contact other community agencies to assist if needed. Our Social Worker will work with your care team to provide and facilitate services.
