3d. Veterans Benefits

Veterans who served in active military service may be eligible for Veterans Affairs (VA) health care benefits. More information on getting VA healthcare is available at VA.gov.

Veterans with a cancer diagnosis may be seen at a VA facility for their treatment, or referred to Essentia Health Cancer Center if the local VA does not offer the necessary medical treatment or specialists. Alternatively, a VA Community Care Referral Form can be completed with a non-VA provider. Once the referral is processed and approved, information can be sent from the VA facility to the non-VA provider.
