8c. Community Groups

Every community has numerous groups and organizations, some of which set aside funds for assisting community members or ‘pass the hat’ when they hear of a need. Community groups often raise money to donate to cancer centers, research, or patients. Others hold an annual fundraiser and may be looking for a recipient. Patients are encouraged to ask their community groups for financial assistance.
